After this post, therefore, I will no longer be updating this page. The related link below is the link to the new blog, as is the link associated with the above sentence.

Okay, so Joe is here tonight running me through the new blogging software. It will be updated in the next few days most likely. The new address will be: http://schneible.net/jnholzhauer/wordpress. I will try to shoot off an e-mail when the change really happens. There is nothing there yet right this second (7pm Sunday, 10/19).
The major changes for you all will be that comments will be getting approved on the new page. When you post a new comment after the new page is up, I will see it & approve it (or not, if it's spam). Once I have approved your e-mail address, comments after that point will automatically post without my approval. This is the anti-spam measure we're putting in place.
More to come!

...I'm not sure what I'd do with myself!
And as I typed that sentence, I got an e-mail from Nathan with the subject of glowing blue bananas. O_o
So UPS rang the doorbell just now as Andrew & I were getting ready to go out to find something to do, probably the playground. I'm on my way to the door wondering what on earth we were expecting. It's an enormous, flat box, about 6' tall by 3' wide and 6" deep. It's a Standees job, the one I signed up for to take Standees displays to movie theaters! They pay pretty reasonable commission for this--you take the display to the theater & set them up, take a picture and get paid!
I haven't opened it yet, will do so when Andrew goes down for his nap probably.

It appears we have been getting spammed rather a lot of late. I hadn't noticed, but Nate did. We talked to Joe, and will probably be moving the blog to new software soon. I will try to give everyone warning. I don't know if the web URL will change or not, I will try to warn everyone of that when the time comes.

What a week! We arrived home safely last night. Not a bad drive, took about 8.5 hours to get home with 3 stops. Andrew was great for the trip, with only a couple of minor meltdowns. For such a long drive at 2 years old, I certainly have no complaints.
We had a fantastic time at the beach this week. Andrew enjoyed the shore very much. We had times in the ocean, on the beach, in the house, away from the house, with my parents & family and even on his own. He was very good and even managed to sleep pretty well. We rented a crib, and it was full size although the mattress was about half the thickness. But it seemed to work, so that can't be too bad.
Andrew expanded his vocabulary and worked hard on his parrot impersonation this week. He learned ocean, castle, bubbles, water, sailboat, sand and a few others I'm sure while we were there. One of these days I'll record him saying ocean and castle, though. With a two-year-old's mastery of enunciation, take a guess how it sounds when he says those out loud.
There will be a mess of pictures in the Gallery shortly. Nate just took Andrew to the park to enjoy an Indian summer afternoon, so I have a few minutes to try to sort through 450 pictures & post a few!
